How can I prepare for the NTPC 2022?

RRB NTPC 2022 exam has been delayed due to COVID-19 situation, and therefore, candidates who are trying to crack RRB NTPC have more time now to prepare. The competition level of RRB NTPC will be high since over 1.26 lakh candidates have applied for the exam against a total of 35, 208 vacancies. To be successful in the exam, candidates need to work hard. Shiksha brings to you a few RRB NTPC preparation tips, which must be followed to crack the exam. 

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2022 Before going to the RRB NTPC preparation tips 2020, candidates can have a look at the exam pattern. According to RRB NTPC exam pattern, the test paper is divided into four sections, General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. There will be 100 objective type multiple-choice questions which candidates should solve within 90 minutes. The section-wise distribution of questions is given below.

Subject-wise Preparation Strategy for RRB NTPC 2022 

General Awareness and Current Affairs 

20 questions in total will be asked from this section. Basically, the questions are from current events of national and international importance, games and sports, art and culture, History of India, Common Abbreviations, Indian Polity, and Governance, etc. You must read magazines, newspapers, online General Knowledge blogs, and watch the news to increase your knowledge. Also, take notes and revise them from time to time. 

General Intelligence and Reasoning 

There will be 30 questions from this section for 30 marks. Most of the questions will be from the topics like Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation, and Sufficiency, etc. Here are some tips to score good marks in this section: 1. You guys need to sharpen their logical and analytical skills. 2. You should have command over all important concepts. You must make sure that they practice each and every concept thoroughly and do not rush through the topics. 3. You must use smart and appropriate tricks and methods for solving questions. 4. Use smart and appropriate tricks and methods for solving any problem. 5. You should attempt RRB NTPC mock tests to improve the speed and accuracy of solving questions. 

Mathematics 

This section will have 25 questions from Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, etc. The tips to crack the exam are given below: You should focus more on the basic concepts. If you have cleared the base, you will be able to solve questions quickly. Once you have developed command over these topics, switch to shortcuts or tricks for quick calculations. For increasing speed, you must focus on short-cut techniques for solving questions. You must solve previous years’ question papers.
