How difficult is it to pass Group 1 exam under TSPSC?


The Group 1 exam is the most competitive exam among all state-level exams. The aspirants can get highly reputed jobs with a good salary package. In the Telangana state, TSPSC is the responsible body for the recruitment of candidates for various posts. With systematic preparations, students can clear the Group 1 exam and before they start the preparations they must know the exam pattern, syllabus, and other important points related to the exam. Here are some important details about the TSPSC Group 1 exam;

Exam Pattern

There are four stages in the selection process for Group 1 posts; the details are given below;

  • Preliminary Exam: The subjects under this are General Studies and Mental Ability. It is for 3 hours and of 150 marks.
  • Mains Exam: It has a qualifying test of General English and six other papers. All exams are of 150 marks and each exam has 3 hours available

After both these rounds, selected candidates will be called for personal interviews and at last there, document verification will be done.

Into this students need to write three essays from each of these sections, each essay is of 50 marks.
