This exam is generally conducted as a written test of 2 papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) containing objective type questions. The question paper will be provided in 3 languages - English, Telugu and Urdu.

If you want to prepare for the TSPSC Group 1 exams, then this post is for you. We'll try our best to help you with the best way to prepare for the exam from home without any coaching.

Sort Out Your Syllabus Well

First of all, you need to know what subjects are included in both papers. You can find that on the official website itself.

Both TSPSC Group 1 papers 1 and 2 contain questions from General Studies (General Knowledge), General Aptitude and Reasoning, Telugu Language and Telangana History / Culture.

So, you need to prepare for these subjects in order to score good marks in the exam.

Arrange Study Material

You can find lots of study material for General Studies (General Knowledge), General Aptitude and Reasoning, Telugu Language and Telangana History / Culture from various sources. Most important thing is to prepare something from where you can extract the most from it. Your study material may include books, pdfs, tutorials, video lectures, notes, study plans etc.

You can also subscribe to some free YouTube channels for each subject. For example. Achievers Academy YouTube Channel is best for General Studies (General Knowledge), Aptitude and Reasoning etc.

Make A Study Schedule & Stick To It

After arranging your study material, you need to make a study schedule and stick to it.

A good way to make your study schedule is to divide the total time available for preparation into different segments and allot each segment for different subjects. For example, if you have 3 months for preparation then you can divide it into 3 parts - 1 month for General Studies (General Knowledge), 1 month for General Aptitude and Reasoning, 1 month for Telugu Language and Telangana History / Culture.

You can even prepare a weekly or daily study schedule according to your convenience. But make sure that you complete all the allocated subjects on time.

Make Notes

Making notes is one of the best ways to prepare for any exam. Notes will help you in two ways - firstly, it will help you remember whatever you have studied and secondly, it will help you revise quickly before the exam.

You can make notes on anything - books, pdfs, tutorials, video lectures, notes etc. But we suggest that you make notes only on those things which are important from the point of view of the exam. This way, you won't waste your time making notes on things that are not required.

Mock Tests & Previous Year Papers

Mock tests are very important in order to evaluate your preparation level and also to know your strengths and weaknesses. You can find a lot of mock tests for various exams on the internet. Try to solve as many mock tests as possible so that you can improve your score.

Previous year papers are also important from the point of view of preparation. Previous year papers contain questions from the actual exam. So, try to solve as many previous year papers as possible. This will help you get an idea about the type of questions asked in the exam and also the difficulty level of the exam.

Start Reading Newspapers every day

Reading newspapers every day is important because you always get to read new things about current affairs and it will be helpful in your preparation. You can even pick up a daily newspaper like Sakshi or Nava Telangana which has more information on the politics and culture of Telangana. Also, try reading Andhra Jyothy and Prajashakti regularly to stay updated with national and international news.

Take Online Course If Possible

Taking an online course before the exam is a good idea. Online courses are helpful because they provide you with study material and a study plan to follow, weekly tests and regular progress reports etc. This way, you will be able to measure your preparation level on a daily basis and also know where you stand in terms of preparation.

If you can, then go for Achievers Academy courses for TSPSC Group 1 exam, because its study material comes in the form of video lectures and is highly effective when it comes to TSPSC Group 1 preparation.

Work Hard & Stay Motivated

That's probably the most important part of your preparation. It doesn't matter what kind of study material you use, how good your study plan is or whether you take a mock test daily or not. What matters the most is the actual effort that you put into your preparation. So, work hard throughout and stay motivated all the time!

Good luck!!
