TSPSC Group 1 Notification 2022
The Telangana State Public Service Commission administers the TSPSC Group 1 Exam to shortlist candidates for Deputy Collector, District Registrar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Municipal Commissioner, Assistant Audit Officer, District Panchayat Raj Officer, Assistant Treasury Office, and various other Group-1 jobs.
According to the new TSPSC Group 1 Notification, 503 Group 1 postings must be filled through the recruitment drive to be held in FY 2022-23. This is the first time that TSPSC has announced such a large number of jobs for Group 1 occupations.
The exam will be conducted in two phases:
(i) The Preliminary Test (Objective type) is likely to be held in July or August 2022.
(ii) The Written Examination (Main) is likely to be held in November or December 2022.
The dates for the above examinations will be announced at any time later.
Documents Needed
While uploading their Applications, candidates should keep a soft copy of the following documents handy:
- Aadhar Card
- Educational Qualifications i.e., SSC, Intermediate, Degree, Post Graduation, etc.
- Study (Bonafide) / Residence Certificate (1st to 7th Class period).
- Community Certificate (SC/ST/BC), Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in case of BCs issued by the competent authority of Telangana Government.
- Latest Income and Asset Certificate for EWS issued by the competent authority of the Telangana Government.
- Certificates claiming Sports & PH reservation, and age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Process
Prelims
There will be a Preliminary Test (Objective type) consisting of General Studies and Mental Ability. This Test is used to shortlist the number of applicants for the written examination (Main). The results of the Preliminary Test will not be taken into account for the ranking. The results of the Preliminary Test will not be shown since it is a screening test. English, Telugu, and Urdu will be used during the preliminary test.
The number of applicants to be accepted to the written (Main) examination (Conventional Type) would be 50 times the total number of vacancies.
Mains
The main examination will be held in English, Telugu, and Urdu. Except for General English, the questions in the main examinations will be answered in English, Telugu, or Urdu. However, a candidate is not permitted to write part of the paper in English and Part of it in Telugu or Urdu.
The Paper on General English is a qualifying one, and the standard of this paper is that of a Secondary School Certificate. The minimum qualifying marks in this paper are
- OCs, Sportsmen & EWS: >40%
- BCs: >35%
- SCs, STs, and PH: >30%
The Marks obtained in this paper are not counted for ranking.
Verification
Candidates who pass the written test in that order of merit will be invited for certificate verification. For the open positions available at the stated time, they will be called one by one according to their multi-zone, community, and category strengths.
Candidates have to produce Original documents and other particulars on the day of verification itself.
Selection
The successful candidates will be chosen and assigned to Service/Department/Multi-zone based on their performance in the written test (Main) and their ability as per the position.
