In Telangana, the Telangana Police conducts recruitment tests for positions of Sub Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector, Reserve Sub Inspectors, Deputy Jailor, and Police Constable in the state-level police departments.
The Telangana Police 2020 consists of four stages: preliminary examination, physical measurement exam, physical efficiency test, and main exam. Candidates who pass the preliminary examination will be eligible to take the main exam.
Telangana SI Main Exam Pattern
The main exam is the final round of the selection procedure, in which both aptitude and analytical abilities are evaluated.
This is a descriptive type test that checks a candidate's decision management and writing abilities, and to be chosen for the desired post, a candidate must pass this section.
- The main examination consists of both objective and descriptive sections with the exam duration being 3 hours.
- To be invited to the final round of the interview, candidates must pass both sections.
- This section has a negative marking of 1/4th (25% of the allotted mark) for every wrong attempt.
- This exam is also available in three different languages namely English, Telugu and Urdu.
