When we can expect TSPSC Group 1 notification?

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) is a government body in the Telangana state for the selection of candidates for government jobs. The Group-I posts are the highly ranked posts with a healthy salary package. The posts that come under Group-I are Commercial Tax Officer, Regional Transport Officer, Deputy Collector in Revenue Department, District Panchayat Raj Officer, District Employment Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, and many other highly reputed posts. TSPSC Group-I Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for the exam is 18 years and the maximum age limit for the exam is 44 years. The age limit varies for some posts; students can find these details while filling up the form. Age relaxation is also available for some posts as per government norms.

Educational Qualification

To apply for the Group-I exam a candidate must have a bachelor's degree in required marks from a recognized university by the Indian Government. For some positions there will be a specific requirement, candidates can find that at the time of official notification.

For some posts, there are some physical standards set by the government. The candidate must fulfill those physical standards too for those posts.

TSPSC Group-I Exam Pattern

To clear the Group-I exam students to need to go through three steps of selection:

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam
  • Personal Interview

Preliminary Exam Syllabus: The pre-exam is about General Studies and Mental Ability. The total marks for this exam are 150 and the time available in 150 minutes

Mains Exam Syllabus: After qualifying for the pre-exam students will be called for the mains exam. It has a General English qualifying test and six other papers. The pattern of the exam is as follows:

  • General English (Qualifying Exam) – Time available is 3 hours and of 150 marks.
  • General Essay (Paper-I) - Time available is 3 hours and of 150 marks.
  • History, Culture, and Geography (Paper-II) - The time available is 3 hours and 150 marks.
  • Indian Society, Constitution, and Governance (Paper-III) - Time available is 3 hours and of 150 marks.
  • Economy and Development (Paper-IV) - Time available is 3 hours and of 150 marks.
  • Science & Technology and Data Interpretation (Paper-V) - The time available is 3 hours and 150 marks.
  • Telangana Movement and State Formation (Paper-VI) - The time available is 3 hours and 150 marks.

After all these rounds students will get a call for a personal interview.
